On the November 7th 2009 the 25th “Marathon International des Gorges de l’Ardèche” in Canoe – Kayak will begin. It allows you to discover or rediscover the environmental richness of this natural reserve.

After the cancellation of the 24th edition due to weather reasons and a difficult year, the organizing team, volunteers and myself are looking forward to welcome you for this 'Legendary Descent.'

We're all going to redouble our efforts to make this 25th anniversary for you an unforgettable event. Over the years, thanks to you the Marathon has become an international event where champions and sports fans of the whole world meet.

Being the new club president, with a partly renewed team, I think is time for the Marathon to take an even more important place in promoting our discipline and our region.

So my hope for the future is that our current partners and the French Canoe Federation still support us and new partnerships emerge.

The future is on outdoor sports, our discipline and the Ardèche can be the flag bearer. We must all work for that the media and sponsors get more interested in us.

We are taking advance this year with an amplified communication about the Marathon, the complete overhaul of the website, improved catering facilities and the possibility of hosting on the same place for all participants with our partner ODALYS.

Meet you then on November 7th for the start of the 25th edition of the “Marathon International des Gorges de l’Ardèche” in Canoe-Kayak.
