The Pont d’Arc Challenge

The Challenge is organized since 1999.

The start is at the Pont d'Arc, at 10 am Sunday 9th of november 2014.

The race of 28 km connects the Pont d'Arc to Saint-Martin d'Ardèche across the Nature Reserve of the Gorges de l'Ardèche.

The Ardèche, traveled during the summer by thousands of tourists is class II to III river in the Gorge, and all types of boats are allowed for the Challenge, from the classic C9 Ontario to the most extravagant kayak or canoe up to 10 places and sometimes 13 meters long.

The race is open from the junior category for boats up to 10 paddlers, polynesian pirogues one or more seats, canoes from 3 paddlers and kayaks from 5 seats.

The start is organized in different lines depending on the water level and race conditions. Information is displayed before the race on site and on our Facebook page.

The finish is in Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, left bank after making a U-turn under the bridge. The finish is identical to that of Marathon.
